Acne

Acne is a common skin condition that occurs when hair follicles and oil glands become clogged, causing pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, and other lesions.

Patients with mild acne signs/symptoms generally do not require further investigation; however, assessment by the patient's primary care provider is recommended in the following situations:

• If age is less than 12 years old
• If new acne develops after the age of 30
• Widespread of acne beyond the face
